Building energy efficiency must attach great importance to building external shading

In recent years, with the acceleration of China's urbanization process, the scale of construction is expanding year by year. However, due to the relative lag of building energy conservation work, there is still a big gap between the current situation of building energy conservation and the strict energy-saving requirements of the state. Through the city, the eyes are full of buildings without external shading. Especially in summer, under the scorching sun, sunlight radiates heat through the glass, which seriously affects the comfort of the indoor environment, greatly increases the load and energy consumption of the air conditioner, and greatly wastes power resources. Therefore, if we want to modern building energy saving, we must correctly deal with the problem of lighting and shading at the same time. The research shows that the external shading of buildings, which has been widely used in traditional buildings in China, is a scientific means of building energy conservation.
The energy-saving principle of building external shading is: when the light shines on the glass of the window, the infrared ray is absorbed by the glass, and the radiant energy is converted into heat energy, which makes the window hot. The external shading facilities block the indoor objects before the sunlight hits them, which can effectively block the heat radiation outside.
On October 1, 2001, Jiangsu Province promulgated and implemented the local standard "Jiangsu Province Civil Building Thermal Environment and Energy Saving Design Standard", which clearly stipulates that the south, east and west windows should be equipped with shading facilities; the shading rate should reach 80%. It is also pointed out that only fixed shading facilities can meet the above requirements for south windows, while movable shading measures must be set for east and west windows. In the "Notice on Strengthening the Application and Management of Building Energy-saving Doors and Windows and External Shading" issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Construction, it is clearly stipulated that according to the requirements of relevant national and provincial building energy-saving standards, various building shading technologies such as heat-cut aluminum alloy hollow doors and windows, plastic hollow doors and windows, composite roller shutter type and horizontal shutter type should be fully adopted in civil buildings in our province.
However, these standards and regulations are not universally implemented in practice. Why the design drawings clear shading rate and shading measures are not implemented? In the author's view, the main reasons are as follows:
First, from the administrative level, it is mainly closely related to the lack of attention and inaction of the administrative departments in charge of grass-roots government construction. The current construction market is still a seller's market. Construction units and developers want to reduce costs and maximize profits. As long as the money that can be saved will not be used actively, and users and owners do not have relevant professional knowledge. For "new things" such as shading outside buildings, it is especially necessary for our local government construction administrative departments to vigorously promote them. Through extensive publicity, enthusiastic guidance, strict supervision, serious law enforcement to ensure effective implementation. At present, it is necessary and feasible to fully implement the building energy conservation policy in our country, and whether it can be actively implemented is actually a consideration of the administrative capacity of the construction and management departments of local governments.
Second, from the perspective of ideological understanding, the important role of building shading is insufficient. There is a "barrel effect" in building energy efficiency ". Building energy conservation pays attention to systematization and effectiveness. No matter how advanced a single energy-saving technology and equipment is, it is impossible to achieve the best energy-saving effect. What determines its actual effect is only the "board with the shortest barrel". The sunshade outside the building is currently such a "short board". As long as there is such a "short board" or the combination between the boards is not tight, the energy-saving effect will be twice the result with half the effort, or even fall short.
Third, from the management level, there is a disconnect between construction, testing, acceptance and supervision of building energy-saving projects. At present, the acceptance of energy-saving projects by the responsible parties of the construction is generally in a state of coping, and the supervision of the construction management department of the grass-roots government is often a mere formality. At present, the energy-saving acceptance of the project mainly depends on whether the insulation is done or not, whether the windows use insulating glass, and why the external shading is not done according to the design requirements, why the mandatory standards are not implemented, whether the energy-saving effect of the actual project can reach the standard, and whether the quality of the energy-saving branch project is qualified or not.
The state has long made a series of clear regulations on the responsibilities of construction administrative departments and all parties responsible for engineering construction in building energy conservation. Failure to perform duties is a serious violation of laws and regulations. The "Regulations on Energy Conservation of Civil Buildings" stipulates clear legal responsibilities and punishment standards for the violations of construction units, construction units, and supervision units that violate the regulations if the relevant departments of the people's government at or above the county level fail to perform their supervision and management duties in accordance with the law.
Building energy conservation benefits the country and the people, and doing a good job in building energy conservation is not only a mission, but also a responsibility for all colleagues in the construction industry. We should attach great importance to it ideologically, faithfully perform their respective duties, and strive to push our country's building energy conservation work to a new level.
