The Beijing Winter Olympic Village is located in the core area of the Beijing Olympic Park, Chaoyang District, on plot 11 of the Olympic Culture and Business Park. It consists of 20 residential buildings, with the first phase of the project having a construction area of approximately 190,000 square meters. The underground area is a complete parking garage with 3 levels, while above ground there are 11 main residential buildings, the tallest being 17 stories high with a building height of 60 meters. The structural form is a reinforced concrete structure underground and prefabricated steel structure above ground. The Winter Olympic Village residential community consists of 20 residential buildings, providing 2,338 beds for athletes during the Winter Olympics and approximately 1,040 beds during the Winter Paralympics. After the games, it will serve as public rental housing for talents in Beijing, contributing to the high-quality development of the city. The residential buildings in the Winter Olympic Village above the second floor are all made of steel structure, with glass curtain walls, which not only promotes green and sustainable use and reduces construction waste pollution but also accommodates the different needs of various residents during the Winter Olympics, Winter Paralympics, and post-games. The steel structure allows for flexible spatial layout and facilitates demolition and renovation. The entire Winter Olympic Village utilizes solar thermal energy and incorporates the 'Ice Skating Map' into the landscape design as a cultural symbol within the architecture.
