The Beijing Ice Sports Training Base, as the residence of the Beijing Winter Sports Management Center, is located in the Yanqing District, one of the venues for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. It serves as the training base for the Beijing ice sports team, supporting the national team's training, and will also serve as an auxiliary training facility for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, meeting the future needs for public ice sports fitness. The project covers a total area of approximately 8.4 hectares, with a total construction area of 87,000 square meters, mainly including a comprehensive training hall, a teaching management apartment building, and other auxiliary facilities.
The design team of the Wuzhou Design Institute draws design inspiration from the philosophical thoughts of ancient Chinese sages. Leveraging the geographical advantage of being less than 100 meters from the venue to the Guishui River, the venue is designed based on the concept of 'Heaven is round and Earth is square', creating an ice sports complex composed of a semi-circular 'hockey' and a rounded square 'curling'.
